Fermented seeds and nuts

VARIET® is a wide range of fermented nuts and seeds. They are rich in probiotics and have a great taste, texture and digestibility.


They are unpasteurised products, which retain unique properties, as they have higher concentrations of healthy nutrients, while eliminating those that are potentially harmful to health.


At VARIET ® we only use seeds and nuts from Certified Organic Agriculture.


Fermented products: unique nutritional properties


Our products are fermented, a process that provides the following properties compared to a conventional product:


- Containing live and active bacteria, they are probiotic-rich foods.


- Fermentation improves their nutritional content, making their protein and fibre more digestible and providing more micronutrients.

The fermentation process

We select the best Organic farming nuts and seeds and we add them Vegetal Probiotics. The mixture is fermented for up to 48 hours in a controlled temperature and humidity environment, during which time these probiotic strains begin to multiply in the food itself, transforming it and modifying its structure.

Fermentation improves the nutritional content of nuts and seeds, making their proteins and fibres more digestible, providing more micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) and degrading the anti-nutritional factors of the nut or seed itself, such as phytic acid, which prevents the absorption of some minerals (iron, calcium, zinc, etc).


In addition, fermentation also prevents the growth of pathogenic microorganisms in the intestinal flora.
